However, after your consultation call, I will then make a suggestion for the number of sessions that are recommended for you. 

Where are you located?

I am located in Vancouver, BC and am currently offering private personal training services virtually and in-person. For Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, the clinic is located at Commercial & Broadway. 

How many sessions will I need?

This varies greatly depending on how you are presenting (e.g. any aches or pains, or pelvic floor symptoms), as well as your fitness goals. My recommended training programs are usually 3-6 months long. However, after the alignment call, I will then make a suggestion for the number of sessions that are recommended for you. 

Do I need previous fitness experience to get started?

No! You do not need any experience since the programs are created based on your level of experience and past activity levels. Because the programming is designed uniquely for each person, it can help moms who are fairly new to working out, but want a routine to start during pregnancy OR moms who had a consistent workout schedule prior to pregnancy, and want to maintain their fitness levels throughout pregnancy and postpartum while still being mindful of their pelvic floor & core muscles. 

What equipment is needed?

This completely depends on your goals and what you have access to. If you want to train at home, I am able to cater your exercise program on what you have available, whether it is using water bottles, soup cans, resistance bands, or simply using your body weight. If you would like to progress the difficulty, I would recommend investing in a set of dumbbells or kettlebells. This is great for moms who want to stay active within the comforts of their home with minimal equipment! 

At what phase of my pregnancy or postpartum can I start working with you?

I work with clients starting throughout all trimesters of their pregnancy. For postpartum, you can start as early as 6 weeks onwards, up to even 20 years postpartum!

Is this for first time moms only?

Not at all! The personalized training program is great for any mom, whether you are someone who has gone through birth before but want it to go differently this time OR if you are a first time mom who wants to feel as prepared as possible for birth

Can virtual sessions work for me?

Yes, if anything, it may be more convenient to have sessions online! There is so much that can be done virtually, such as taking a detailed history and performing a physical assessment of your movements patterns. We will discuss any symptoms or concerns you have, go over your past medical & gynaecological history, evaluate your alignment, then create a personalized fitness program to help you reach your goals.

I'm experiencing some pelvic floor issues, can this help me?

The specific exercises prescribed are designed to help manage any pelvic floor symptoms or abdominal wall dysfunction. If there is anything that requires further assessment or treatment, I will recommend an in-person visit to your nearest pelvic floor physiotherapist.
