Are you unsure of whether you should be doing kegels or if that is actually what you need? Are you confused on how to properly kegel and feel what is actually going on down there?
Are you sick of crossing your legs anytime you sneeze, cough or laugh?

Are you a feeling bit anxious about returning back to intercourse after birth?
Are you experiencing new aches & pains that you didn’t even know existed until you became pregnant?
> Hip pain when rolling out of bed first thing in the morning, or when getting up from your chair?
> Lower back pain when bending over to pick something up?
> Inner groin pain when walking more than 15 minutes?
> Upper back pain from the growing size of your belly & boobs, or the constant slouching from
breastfeeding (especially when they don’t latch?!)
> Wrist pain from carrying your baby?
Are you tired of hearing that these symptoms are normal and that you should just learn to live with it, or get surgery?
If you answered “YES” to any one of these, pelvic floor physiotherapy can help!
Implementing a regular strength training program can help prevent and manage pelvic floor dysfunction and several other common aches & pains during pregnancy & postpartum. However, some individuals may benefit from a more in-depth assessment and treatment from a pelvic floor physiotherapist if symptoms are not resolving or appear to be more complex. In certain countries, like France, new moms receive 10 pelvic floor physiotherapy sessions covered by the government. Unfortunately, there is a lack of awareness in North America, where most women are left with minimal pelvic floor support or guidance during & after birth. I’ve spoken with multiple clients who even consider themselves “avid researchers” but who hadn’t heard of Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy until a friend told them about it. The pelvic floor is such an important part of your body, and yet we are so out of touch and know very little about this area.

It is highly recommended to book a visit to your Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist to receive additional support, especially if you are experiencing any of these problems:
I offer in-person & virtual sessions in Vancouver (located at Commercial & Broadway), and these sessions will be covered under “Physiotherapy” by your insurance providers if you are a local British Columbia resident. The number of sessions recommended will be discussed after the Initial Assessment.
